About Hamid Merati-Kashani
Born in Germany to an Iranian father and a German mother, Hamid Merati-Kashani spent his formative years in Isfahan, a blend he sums up as "Iranian in education and German in organization." He trained at Firmenich, where he is a principal perfumer, and is closely associated with Parfums de Marly, composing Layton, Pegasus, Percival and Althaรฏr. His other credits include Amouage Opus XV King Blue and work for Jean Paul Gaultier and Yves Saint Laurent.
