Imran Fazlani is the CEO of Afnan Perfumes rather than a trained perfumer. He takes a creative role in the house's launches, working with professional perfumers. Afnan 9PM Night Out, for example, came from a collaboration between Fazlani and a perfumer at the French fragrance company Expressions Parfumรฉes. The 9PM line, which also includes 9PM Elixir, has become one of Afnan's best-known franchises.
